There are so many exciting things to read, research, learn, and do, I might never leave my computer on weekends. It’s probably good that my job takes me away from the keyboard and into the realm of children.
There’s no better way to forget yourself than to teach. Children fill up your consciousness and make days sail by in a happy whoosh!
I need the distraction because too many opportunities jostle for my attention.
I could write serial fiction for free and for patrons.
Tales recently accepted my application, so I could write branching fiction on that platform.
My Medium account has nearly 1000 followers. Drips and drops of payment are coming in—at least enough to offset the cost of membership, and I feel compelled to read all the intriguing stories. Medium is better than social media and a great place to get to know writers.
Then there is chatGPT and AI Art, topics so fascinating I could fall down that tunnel of wonder and never emerge. It’s not all dragons and roses, though. This week, I looked at when AI Art hurts society.
I must focus and be stern with myself because of another opportunity. My next paranormal mystery will be a novella, slated to appear in an anthology with a group of experienced and best-selling authors. The novella needs to be written, professionally edited, and formatted with a cover by the end of April.
That may seem like a long deadline to you but editing to a high standard can take longer than writing the story.
Looks like it’s time to get back to work.
